About the NDA examination

The NDA examination is conducted by the UPSC in two papers, Mathematics and General Ability Test, forming the written stage of selection for entry into the Armed Forces academies.

NDA 2027 Important Dates

Notification, exam and admit card schedule

NDA I 2027: Notification expected on 9 December 2026; written examination expected on 11 April 2027; admit card expected approximately one week before the exam. NDA II 2027: Notification expected on 19 May 2027; written examination expected on 12 September 2027; admit card expected approximately one week before the exam. These dates are tentative until UPSC publishes the official notification and admit card schedule.

Start with the official syllabus for both papers, then give each subject a regular place in your week.

02 Review mock tests

Use each mock to find weak topics; one score is only a snapshot, so note what each mistake was testing.

03 Manage your time

Practise under timed conditions so the paper feels familiar on the day, and keep revision steady rather than rushed.
